performance

Contego is applied like any high quality latex paint. The use of special tools is not required. Original Formula can be applied by spray gun, roller or brush, virtually any standard thickness (2400 psi/x21 pointer).
Original Formula has a wide spectrum of applications as it is based on polymers that allow it to securely adhere to any substrate. It is not carcinogenic, does not irritate the skin, and is completely safe to use around children and pets. Do you want low VOC? How about no VOC to get LEED credits or just to use a green and safe product?

For most combustible substrates two coats (14 to 20 dry mils) provides similar protection to 80 to 120 mils of older generation intumescent products and because it is much thinner it is significantly lighter and more economical.
