performance

Contego is applied like any high quality latex paint.

No special tools required

Original Formula can be applied with a spray gun, roller or brush.

High Solids Formula should be applied with an Airless machine at 3600 PSI or higher and a .X35 pointer. Both formulas smell, feel and apply like a high quality latex paint. Contego paint has a wide range of applications because its polymer base allows it to adhere to countless substrates. It is not carcinogenic, antidermic and completely safe to use around children and pets. For most substrates, two coats (14 to 20 mils dry) provide protection equivalent to 150 to 200 mils of older generation intumescents, is lighter and very economical to use.
